See this previous post about looking for last semester’s online information before it’s taken down. You might find study guides, homeworks, etc. Always worth a shot.

The same mistakes

About every semester I make the same mistake, and I usually waste 30 minutes to an hour to try and figure it out. When I do, I feel like an idiot. So I’m writing this in hopes that I’ll remember next time. Every semester I’ll have a program to turn in, and I’ll have to […]

SparkNotes Returns!

Well, I don’t believe they actually ever went away, but I did “outgrow” their notes some time ago, after I finished Calculus. Then while searching today for hash tables, I found their notes on the subject. So, if you need some free “Cliff Notes” to get you through, SparkNotes is a great resource.

Man, I wish I had enough time for this: the MCM/ICM Modeling Contest. You have 96 hours to come up with a model solving your choice of one of two modeling questions. One of last year’s questions:  Airlines are free to seat passengers waiting to board an aircraft in any order whatsoever. It has become […]

I found this free graphing software which rocks, in my opinion. It is Ivan Johansen’s Graph. A very useful tool, in my opinion. I used it just last week to save me in one of my programs by interpolating a function I needed for a series of data.
